I understand that I cant use the one part very highly expanding foams like Touch n Foam MaxFill Maximum Expanding Sealant because they require mositure in the air to activate and cure and dont work well behind walls, let alone walls in a dry climate.. Ive successfully used used Great Stuff Big Gap expanding foam to insulate areas between the floor girders and concrete walls where I couldnt get fiberglass insulation in. DAPtex Plus will expand to 90% of its fullsize immediately upon application. a little trick you can line whatever you insulate with plastic. Is GREAT STUFF closed foam? In other words, the cells are deliberatly left open.
